Poor choice for slide topper fabric - June 20, 2009

Our 2004 material started to delaminate at the edge during
the first year. By year 2, the top layer started coming off
in large pieces. No help from the A&E company because it is
"normal failure" and it is "out of warranty".
It sounds from the other reviews that they have not improved
their fabric. I would not purchase their product again.

Use a swivel dust mop - June 13, 2009

After reading these reviews I’ve concluded that a swivel dust mop will do the job just as good (maybe better) than this expensive and ify solution. I just run the mop over the top of the slide, from ground level, before running it in, worked fine and I had a ton of leaves and twigs after 70 mile an hour wind in Oklahoma City. I’m 6’4” so I can use to mop easily, if shorter you may have to add an extension to
the mop handle. Always works and the wind is not a concern.

I have an 2003 model Forest River Windsong, that had this installed. It looked fun, but until a good wind came along,
it delaminated, also. I can't believe it. This is my first RV and I would have thought that things would last much longer. Now, I have this nice RV, but that slidetop cover just flaps around.........I guess the sun beats the
laminated sections so hard that it comes apart. I am in Texas and it hasn't been THAT hot lately. Thank god I am some sort of a handyman. I am going to replace the fabric on it.

Just had a slidetopper installed at Camping World. 4 days later after
using it ONCE and no wind whatsoever it delaminated starting in the
center. The previous one lasted 4 years. It seems poor quality may be
the reason and very unsatisfactory, costly and time consuming to the
customer.

Good idea but fabric is not strong enough. I just lost one , the wind
here in BC ripped it off the trailer side. they also make a lot of noise in
the wind. Good idea, poor execution
